Dear Fans of Navy Field, It has been about two months since I last updated with the May report. Since then
there havenЎЇt been many things to update upon. It shouldnЎЇt come as a surprise
that there isnЎЇt much in the way of updates this month. I am deeply sorry about
this.
1. SBB and SCV Project
This project is almost complete and will be patched into the official server very soon.
I am very sorry for the delay. As many of you know, the requirements have been
set to Level 120 BO and Gunners, along with Level 115 for other sailors. All slots
must be filled in order to operate the ships. The ship price and repair costs will be
made more affordable to the players.
2. Submarines
As you all know, subs are being tested on the Korean test server at the moment.
They will be placed in our servers as well after basic testing is completed there.
Most players have seen the photos of them already posted on this forum, so I
donЎЇt
believe there will be much surprise about the following shipyard screenshot of them.
For those of you who have not seen them, I hope you enjoy this.
3. Navy Field World War
I believe that some players enjoyed this event while others completely hated it.
Also, there were many that were confused with the idea that this event was going
to be like last yearЎЇs GNGWC event. NFWW was meant to be completely different
from the GNGWC WW event. Unlike GNGWC, the NFWW was held by our own
company, not by GameNgame. The idea for NFWW was for it to be a national war as
opposed to GNGWC being based upon clans. In any case, although we had some
issues, I appreciate all of you that helped this event finish successfully. Also,
congratulations on the Polish team that finished in third place. I hope we all do
better next time. The largest problem in my opinion was to do with the time
difference, so for the next one we will hold the event by region in order to pick the
top 2 teams each from North America, Asia, and Europe.
4. GNGWC 2008
Here it comes again! We are having another event this year that basically the same
as last year, but we will be holding semi-finals in San Jose, CA this time. Other
changes from last yearЎЇs are:
1. Only one team per fleet this time.
2. Fleets must be registered in the game before July 1st.
3. Last yearЎЇs top 3 fleets will be in the same bracket, and only one fleet
will
make it to semi-finals. (I made this rule in order to give a better chance to other
fleets. Otherwise, this event will be dominated by the same top 3 fleets from last
year.)
4. Rules will be very similar to NFWW rules.
The details will be coming soon so stay tuned!
5. ONF Season 1 ended.
Open Navy Field Project, ONF, has been really successful. I thank all of our players
who have made this project such a huge success. As you know, this project has
been run by Obst and his team while being supervised by myself. Recently I have
become very busy, as a result I have decided to hand over the supervision of this
project to DarkGM once I finish with the SBB/SCV project. Under the new
management, current ONF testers will be dismissed and new applicants will be
accepted. Obst along with the head of TNF, LordMichael, will lead the new team
under the supervision of DarkGM. I strongly believe that they will make this project
more of a success than under my supervision.
6. NFNA and NFEU are not competitors!
IЎЇve noticed many players get mad when hearing of updates on the NFEU servers.
Please donЎЇt be upset. If a good patch comes to NFEU then it will also be patched
to
NFNA accordingly. All NF versions are being developing in the same lab, so all NF
players will receive similar NF patches and updates. Each server may have different
balances and tweaks, but they are all essentially NF. Therefore, please do not make
issues to do with things from other NF servers.
7. Clearing Dummy Accounts
We will be removing dummy accounts from NFNA. There are just too many of them,
many of which have been found to be in use for abusing the referral system. The
accounts will be removed according to the following:
1. Account has never logged into the game.
2. Account has not logged in for 1 year.
These accounts will be removed from our servers permanently. We will make a
separate announcement before taking an action.
8. Surprising 4th of July Event.
ItЎЇs 4th of July tomorrow, or Independence Day for the United States. I want all NF
players to share in the joy of holiday, so during this holiday weekend all players will
receive a party bonus of 47% more of EXP, credit and points, along with 200%
increased vet success rate. I hope you enjoy the party and please have a safe
holiday weekend.
