По просьбам трудящихся: Dear Fans of Navy Field,
It has been long time since my last post back in December. I apologize for the delay
in updating. I know this is not mandatory, but I have seen many players have been
waiting for this. Also, this might be my last update, please read on.
1. Removing Expert Gain from Missions
I have received many complaints regarding this incident. It was my idea to remove
expert gain from missions. The reason behind this was firstly due to macro users
and second, I wanted players to gain experts from playing battle and not through
boring farming of NPC. This is why we have increased expert gain rates in great
battle.
2. NF Team Speak server closing
As I mentioned before, we are going to close the NF team speak server at the end
of this month. We have successfully bundled XFire with the NF client and are still
working on improving its functionality. XFire will be the official communication tool for
Navy Field and we will be holding future events with XFire as well. Therefore, I ask
that players who are using TS, to please try XFire.
3. New Server Grand Opening Event and NF 3rd Anniversary Event
Through all the support from players, we are going to open new server soon. We
will be holding a new server grand opening as well as the NF 3rd anniversary event.
We are trying our best to give you a great event experience, even better than last
year. Please stay tuned for upcoming details about this.
4. New Server Names
As we are going to add a new server, we will change the name of the servers as
well. There have been problems with current names from new players as some of
them are thinking that the name of the server is the server's physical location when
in fact they are named after ships. I understand this as not all players have high
naval knowledge (like myself before working for NF) and might think the name
represents server location. Therefore, to minimize this problem, we are going to
change names for each of the servers and I want you to vote on these names. Since
we are going to have four servers, we will pick amongst well known ship names
representing NF's 4 nations and use them as new server names. Please check out
the live polls now.
5. Storage and Auction System progress
These new systems are currently being worked on and I am expecting to see them
soon. I hope we will have this system before the new event, but I cannot guarantee
since they have to test it and then probably test again on the test server. They are
about 80% done now so, it will not be long before we see them in game. Thank you
for your patience on this.
6. Ongoing project brief detail:
a.New Weapons: Hedgehogs are being tested presently and are a little bit
delayed from their original schedule due to system modification.
b.New Fighters are being tested on the Korean server and have been
delayed as well due to system modification.
c. New Sound system is almost ready and coming within a month.
7.New Nations and New Ships - France
As you all know, we are working on National packs, and as I promised before, here
are the first five ships from the new France nation. Let me know what you think of
them.

8. Opinions on Macro Players
As you all know, more than 400 players have been banned for using macro
programs. I was really shocked but soon found out that many of them did not use
them for NF or it had been running in the background on a computer that may not
have been their own. Some may have been falsely charged, and I felt bad as we
could not help them since our system cannot detect the players who really use it for
NF apart from those who may not have known these apps were installed or were
using the apps for separate purpose. Therefore, I ask once more that players please
turn off any macro programs before playing NF, or they be caught again on a future
scan.

10. I am who I am...
It has been already over 4 years since I began working for NF. I believe I have not
done the best possible job, but I have done my best. As I have always said back
from beginning of NF in NA, I really want to give something back to you from what I
have received from you. This is why we have held the NF Winter Events.
Many still continue to call us $DE or greedy about money, and some parts of that
may be true. We are small but we are also a company and our first goal is to make a
profit from what we are doing. However, I always insist on trying to give back to our
players in some way so long as our company can also make a profit because NF has
grown a lot thanks to all of your support.
I guess I may have crossed the line too much this time. We have given back
$629,229.82 worth of NF items not to mention the gold and silver prizes to players
from the event. Our sales have dropped dramatically as a result and I guess the
heads of our company are none too happy about this. I understand this since we
are not a NPO game company. People at our company deserve what they have
worked for, therefore, I feel really sorry for them. Since I am the head of NFNA and I
planned all the events, I think I may need to face the music. Even if I lose my job, I
won't regret it since I think I did the right thing and I have learned much from you
guys. I just feel bad for the company and this is who I am...
